The green heart of the Agrigento region: olive trees, prized varieties, and a rich olive oil tradition.

Palma di Montechiaro

The Criscimanna Oil Mill is located in Palma di Montechiaro, a charming village situated 20 km from Agrigento, a city that symbolizes Greek culture. The mill is nestled in the countryside, about 7 km from the town center, in an unspoiled natural setting that gives our oils an authentic and genuine flavor. Here, amidst centuries-old olive groves and modern processing technologies, we combine artisanal expertise with innovation, ensuring a product of the highest quality that best expresses the unique characteristics of our land.

Tradition

Olive growing is one of the most deeply rooted agricultural activities in the Agrigento area and is part of a rural landscape enriched by almond groves, vineyards, and citrus orchards. Beyond its production value, it represents a cultural heritage and a source of identity that links work in the fields to the region’s traditions. Among the most widespread cultivars are the Biancolilla, the Nocellara del Belice, and the Cerasuola, varieties that best express the richness and diversity of local olive growing.
